A Generational Legacy
I am blessed to come from a rich legacy of generations saying "YES" to Jesus and to take part in reaching the world for our Lord and Savior.
My great-grandfather, Monty Garfield, was a Jewish man who boldly declared that Jesus was the Messiah! Later in life he would go around on a motor scooter with the Jewish & Christian flags while wearing shirts stating that the God of Israel loves you and how Jesus is the Messiah. He would also pass out tracts to everyone he met. His daughter, Ginger, my grandmother, continued that legacy. She and my grandfather, Bill, would do sidewalk Sunday schools and were heavily involved in their church. My grandmother would also always have tracts in her purse and would leave them on tables of restaurants every time she ate out.
My parents, Robb & Rhonda, were called onto the missions field to reach the children of the world in the 1990's while they had 4 young children and were children's pastors in Orlando. They heeded that call and my family packed up and moved to Brussels, Belgium where my parents worked with International Media Ministries (IMM) making Christian children's TV shows that are still aired worldwide. We moved back to the US in 2000, where my parents were Executive and Children's Pastors at our home Church in Orlando.
In 2012, after all the kids had graduated and were in college my parents were called back onto the missions field, this time to become the new directors of an International Ministry called Oral Learners Initiative. They have been faithful serving the Lord in the capacity ever since with their offices in Orlando, FL.
